Delete your Cheer Team account

You can delete your account and its data at any time, from the app or by emailing us.

Option 1 — In the app

Open Cheer Team and sign in.
Go to Settings → Delete my account (in the Legal section).
Type DELETE to confirm.

Coaches can also do this on the web: cheerteam.app/console → My profile → Delete my account.

Option 2 — By email (no app needed)

Email support@cheerteam.app from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my Cheer Team account”. We’ll confirm and schedule the deletion within 7 days.

7-day wait

Your account is permanently deleted 7 days after you ask. Changed your mind? Sign back in within those 7 days and choose Keep my account, or email support@cheerteam.app.

Head coaches

First make another coach the head coach: in the app, Settings → Coaches; on the web, cheerteam.app/console → Settings → Head coach. The app won’t accept the request until you do. Need help? Email support@cheerteam.app.

What we delete

Your sign-in; your account record, including your block list and hidden items; your memberships in every program; and your coach or parent profile (name, photo, bio, phone, email, certifications and awards) with its profile photos.

Athletes

The coach’s roster entry for you stays with the program, but it’s unlinked from your account and your photo, bio, nickname, pronouns and fun facts are cleared.

Parents

Deleting your account doesn’t delete your athlete’s roster record. Ask the coach, or email privacy@cheerteam.app.

What we keep

Payment records, which tax law requires us to keep for 7 years, with the link to your account removed; safety reports; and messages and files you posted to a team, which stay with the team under the name they were posted with. Email privacy@cheerteam.app to have your posts removed and we’ll do it within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.
